The Lannin Walk

In 1880, 14 year Joseph John Lannin had just lost his father. He set out from his home in Lac Beauport, Quebec, to find his future. He walked 410 miles to the City of Boston, Massachusetts. He built his fortune and became the owner of the Boston Red Sox, Long Island's Roosevelt Field, and sponsored the Lannin Memorial Golf Tournament. In spring 2012, his great grandson, Chris Tunstall, repeated The Walk. In spring 2013, he is walking in New York, where J J Lannin had his great success after selling the RedSox.
